Nick Ogden

My involvement with the Redlake Valley Artists has come through my wife Angela who exhibits her knitting. She suggested that the models and dioramas that I build might be of interest to a wider audience than they currently receive.

Whilst the last 13 or 14 years I have been primarily a railway modeller, firstly American narrow gauge and currently German post war industrial narrow gauge, I try not to confine my interests to this one discipline. I also derive inspiration from military, fantasy, ship and aviation modelling and try and incorporate elements of all of them into my models. Not necessarily at the same time. Having said that, my latest diorama does indeed have elements of all the types of modelling I have mentioned.

I have exhibited my models on three continents and one of the dioramas on display has covered about 30,000 air miles. I have won some prizes with them.
